Dia de los Muertos pays homage to the presence of the dead among the living and is a colorful tribute to California’s own Mexican Heritage. It is also practiced by Portuguese, Filipinos, Italians, French, and other countries. It is a celebration of life and death and it is joyously spent with family and friends.
The Dual Language Immersion program and many other Spanish classes on campus participated in decorating calaveras that were displayed in the library. Special thank you to Mrs. Redmond for setting up the display, and to many parents who helped make the calaveras for the students to decorate. Stop by and take a look!
